We are so excited to celebrate with the people we love most — on the sand, under the palms, with the jungle behind us and the Caribbean in front. Come for the wedding, stay for the long weekend: cenotes, beach days, good food, and one very good party. Everything you need is in the pages linked below and in the menu above.
With love, Carly Anguiano & Doug Dolan

Truly — you traveling all the way to Mexico to celebrate with us is already an enormous gift, and more than enough. But if you'd like to give a little something as well, we've put together a registry of a few things we'd love as we start married life. Completely optional, always.
We're still putting the finishing touches on our registry — the link will live right here as soon as it's ready.

Our Story
How we got to Mexico
Every love story is beautiful — this one just happens to end up on a beach.
Chapter One
A very ordinary beginning
It started the way all the best stories do — completely by accident. A mutual friend, a crowded room, and a conversation that was supposed to last five minutes and instead lasted the whole evening. Doug made Carly laugh before he'd even finished his first drink. Carly, for her part, remembers thinking: oh no, this one's going to be a problem. She was right — just not in the way she expected.
Chapter Two
First dates & far-flung places
From there it was late-night tacos, long drives up the coast, and a shared habit of turning "we should go there someday" into actual plane tickets. Somewhere between the trips, the inside jokes, and learning exactly how the other person takes their coffee, someday quietly turned into every day — and neither of them would have it any other way.
Chapter Three
The easiest yes
When Doug finally asked, there were happy tears, a ring that had been burning a hole in his pocket for longer than he'll admit, and the easiest "yes" of Carly's life. Then came the next question — where do you marry your favorite person? The answer was obvious: somewhere warm, somewhere beautiful, with everyone we love in one place. See you in Mexico.

Resort Guide
Sandos Caracol Eco Resort
Your home for the week — an all-inclusive eco resort inside protected jungle, just north of Playa del Carmen, where the forest meets the sea. This is everything there is to do here, plus everything we've planned around it.
Jungle on one side, Caribbean on the other
Sandos Caracol isn't a typical hotel strip. Rivers, mangroves and natural cenotes wind between the buildings, wildlife wanders the grounds — look for howler monkeys, coatis, peacocks and macaws — and the beach is wide and white. You can swim in a crystal-clear cenote in the morning and be on the sand by lunch.
Almost everything below is already included in your stay: meals, drinks, the water park, cenotes, eco activities and nightly shows. Spa treatments, the temazcal, golf and off-resort excursions are the main extras.
All-Inclusive9 restaurants, ~10 bars & activities included
~45 minFrom Cancún Airport (CUN)

Things to do at Sandos
No booking, no wristband math — just show up. The resort publishes its exact daily activity and show calendar on arrival and in its app, so treat this as your menu of what's on offer all week.

Swim
Cenotes, beach & pools
The reason this resort exists. Five natural cenotes sit in the jungle on site — start with Cenote Cristalino, the big, clear one behind the lobby, where snorkel gear is provided.
Main pool — lively, with the Sirena swim-up bar and poolside games
White-sand beach — loungers, beach volleyball and kayaking
Quieter pools — for reading, not racing
Select Club pool & beach — adults-only, for guests in that section
Splash
The water park
One of the biggest resort water parks in the Riviera Maya, and it's included — 29 slides in total, split by age and nerve.
17 gentler slides & splash zones for little kids
Bigger slides for older kids and teens
7 adult slides, including steep kamikaze-style drops
Lagoon-style cascades, play features and a refreshment bar, with lifeguards on duty
Nature · All-Nature Experience
Jungle, river & wildlife
Sandos runs a daily eco programme — the All-Nature Experience — with 30+ animal species living on the grounds.
Mangrove river boat ride — the howler monkeys are the stars
Guided eco tours & jungle trails, plus a bike path with free bikes
Swim through the mangrove and explore the lagoons
Orchid attic, wildlife sanctuary and a tree-planting activity
Eat & Drink
9 restaurants, ~10 bars
Three buffets for easy group meals, and à la carte spots for smaller dinners — book the popular ones early in the week.
Buffets: La Laguna (international), Las Máscaras (Mexican), La Toscana (Italian)
À la carte: Japanese teppanyaki, Brazilian rodizio, Mediterranean, Italian, steak & seafood, and vegetarian / eco cuisine
Bars: swim-up, beach, lobby, sports and lounge bars, plus snack bars by the pools
Culture
Mayan heritage, on site
The resort is built around Mayan culture, not just Mayan décor.
Mayan ceremonies and performances during the week
Temazcal — a traditional steam ritual led by a shaman (extra fee)
Mayan village-style activities, crafts and storytelling
Stargazing away from city lights on clear nights
Relax & Play
Spa, sport & downtime
Spa — 16 treatment rooms, massages, facials, sauna, jacuzzis and a Turkish bath (treatments extra)
Morning yoga — including sessions on the cenote deck — plus a gym and fitness classes
Two lit tennis courts, beach volleyball, snorkelling and non-motorised water sports
Gran Coral golf — an 18-hole course right next door (extra fee)
Families
Kids, babies & teens
Sandos is built for families, which is why we picked it — kids can have their own holiday while the adults have theirs.
Kids Club (ages 4–10) — supervised playground, crafts, movies, sports and eco activities. Hours vary — check the Sandos app on arrival.
Baby Club (ages 2–3) — admitted only with a parent or guardian present, in limited windows. This is parent-accompanied play, not supervised drop-off childcare.
Teens — music, pool tables, beach soccer and their own activity programme
We're confirming evening childcare options with the resort and will update this page — see the FAQ for what we know so far.
After Dark
Nights at Sandos
Theatre shows every night — live performances, including Mayan shows
Live music and DJ sets around the pools and bars
Beach and lobby bars for a nightcap — no driving, no tabs, everything's included
On Saturday, of course, the main event is on the rooftop with us until 10 PM

Free Wi-Fi is available in the lobby and common areas
Beyond the resort
If you're staying longer — and we hope you are — these are all an easy trip from the lobby.
Playa del CarmenFifth Avenue's shops, cafés and nightlife — about 15 minutes away.
Tulum & Chichén ItzáMayan ruins as a half- or full-day trip; tour desks at the resort can book them.

CozumelFerries run from Playa del Carmen for diving, snorkelling and a day on the island.
The wedding week at Sandos
Come for as much of the week as you can. The only Hosted events are on Saturday — the wedding itself. Everything marked optional is an idea or a standing invitation — a time we'll be somewhere doing something fun, and you're welcome to join, skip, or go find a cenote instead. Nothing but Saturday is mandatory.

Travel & Stay
Getting there & booking your room
Fly into Cancún, take the transfer south, and you're on the beach. Rooms for the wedding are held in our group block — here's exactly how booking works.
Book Your Room
Our room block, in three steps
Booking inside the block keeps everyone at the same rates, in the same part of the resort, and counted for our wedding events. It also means our planning team at Via Destination Weddings can help if anything comes up with your reservation.
1
Reserve your room
Tap the button below to go to our group's booking page and pick your room and dates.
2
Put down $100
A $100 deposit holds your room. The rest is split into two payments — no need to pay in full up front.
3
Book your flight
Fly into Cancún (CUN), then add an airport transfer or take a taxi / ADO bus to Playa del Carmen.
Deposit · $100 to reserveSecond payment · Nov 6, 2027Balance due · Dec 6, 2027
Cancún International is the airport for the whole Riviera Maya, with direct flights from most major US cities. From there it's roughly 45 minutes to the resort.
Getting to the resort
Pre-booked private or shared transfers are the easiest door-to-door option. Taxis and the ADO bus to Playa del Carmen also work well. We'll share transfer booking details as the date gets closer.
Staying somewhere else?
You're welcome to stay off-resort — you'll just need a wedding day pass to join the events: $100 per adult, with children at half price. Staying in the block is simpler (and more fun), if you can.
Make a trip of it
Most guests are coming for 3–4 nights. Arrive by Friday to settle in before the wedding, and if you can stay longer: Chichén Itzá, Tulum, and the cenotes are all an easy day trip away.

What to Wear
Beach Formal
Dressed up, but beach-smart. Here's how to be comfortable from a sunny 5 PM ceremony to a breezy 10 PM dance floor.
The short version
Think summer wedding, upgraded: long or midi dresses, linen suits or dress trousers with a button-down and blazer. Light, breathable fabrics in soft colors photograph beautifully against the sand and sea.
SandSageSea GlassMarigoldTerracottaIvory*
*Ivory and white are the only ones to skip — those are Carly's.
Bring a light layer. Late February is warm in the sun (low 80s), but after sunset it drops into the high 60s with an ocean breeze — and the whole evening is outdoors. A wrap, shawl, or light jacket will be your best friend by 9 PM.
Mind the sand. The ceremony is on the beach, so wedges, block heels, or dressy sandals beat stilettos — thin heels and sand are not friends.
The Setting
Yes, it really looks like this
Golden hour on the sand and dinner under the string lights — the Sandos Caracol we'll be celebrating at.

Questions, answered
The things everyone asks us, in one place. Anything else — just text us.
When should I book, and by when?
As soon as you know you're coming. Rooms in our block are held for the group, and booking early locks your rate and your room choice. A $100 deposit reserves your room, with the second payment due November 6, 2027 and the balance December 6, 2027.
Which airport do I fly into?
Cancún International (CUN). The resort is about 45 minutes south, near Playa del Carmen. Pre-booked transfers are the easiest option; taxis and the ADO bus work too. Don't forget a valid passport — Mexico requires one for US travelers.
Are kids invited?
We love your little ones, and they're very welcome at the resort — Sandos is wonderfully family-friendly, with a water park and kids' activities. Because the resort caps our wedding guest count, the ceremony and reception themselves are for adults and our close-family children (our nephews and niece). If you'd like to bring your kids along for the trip, the resort has a Kids Club (ages 4–10; hours vary — check the Sandos app on arrival) and a Baby Club for ages 2–3 where a parent or guardian must stay with them. We're confirming evening childcare options with the resort for the wedding evening and will update this page once we have an answer.
Can I bring a plus-one?
Your invitation will say if it includes a plus-one. Our guest count is capped by the resort, so we have to be careful with numbers — thank you for understanding.
What should I wear, really?
Beach Formal: dresses, linen suits, dress trousers. Bring a light wrap or jacket for after sunset (high 60s and breezy), and choose wedges, block heels or dressy sandals over stilettos for the sand. Full guide in the Attire section above.
What if I stay at a different hotel?
Totally fine — you'll just need a day pass for the wedding day: $100 per adult, children half price. That said, staying in our block at Sandos keeps everyone together and is usually the simplest option.
What's the weather like in late February?
One of the best times of year in the Riviera Maya: warm and mostly dry, low 80s in the daytime, cooling into the high 60s at night with a sea breeze. Pack the swimsuit and the light layer.
